Timber Creek sophomore Courtney Sebazco has committed to SMU on a full ride for soccer.
“Beyond Blessed to announce that I have committed to SMU. God is great. #ponyup,” Sebazco tweeted on September 3.
This is her second year playing soccer on varsity for Timber Creek. Sebazco also competes in an outer league, Solar Chelsea 00 ECNL, which she has been involved with since she was 10.
“While there are different leagues for girls to play in, the Elite Club National League is considered the most competitive, drawing college coaches and scouts to events and league games to events throughout the year,” Sebazco’s mom, Emily, said via text.
Courtney Sebazco has been playing soccer ever since she was four years old.
“SMU has always been on of my favorites academically and their style of play! I am so blessed to be given this opportunity,” Sebazco said. “My parents are so excited to come watch me play, they are very proud.”
“We feel very blessed that Courtney has committed to play at SMU. She has worked hard over the years. Courtney playing soccer is part of our family routine,” Emily Sebazco said.
Sister Cat Sebazco tweeted, “I’m seriously so proud of my sister, she deserves this more than anything!!!” Cat Sebazco is a graduate of Timber Creek and is now a sophomore at The University of North Texas where she too plays soccer.
TCHS Soccer tweeted, “This kid, [Sebazco] a sophomore, just committed to SMU ON A FULL RIDE! Congrats Court! #ProudCoach #FalconTough #FalconFamily”
