Timber Creek had their first home volleyball games against Weatherford on Tuesday, Sept. 1.
The JV team won their first and last set which resulted in a win over all. Unfortunately, varsity lost their game, although not without a hard fight.
TCHS’s Catheriene Mudd, #14, hit a great ace, Alix Morse, #9, had 2 great blocks, and #2, Brianna Mendez, had a great hit, all in the first set.
“We fought really hard, but we just weren’t able to finish,” Morse said.
Despite the loss, Morse was still optimistic for the season.
“I’m excited for the season and excited for our team and the potential we’ve got,” said Morse. “We’re going to do great things this year.”
If you weren’t able to make their first game, you still have a chance to come out and support your Lady Falcons. The Falcon’s next upcoming home game will be Sept. 8 against Martin High school. JV will start at 5:30 p.m. while Varsity will start at 6:30 p.m.
