Basketball Season Starts Monday, Nov. 9

Basketball season starts Monday, Nov. 9 with a scrimmage against Argyle at TCHS.

The Varsity team starts at 5:30 p.m. Last year the team made the 6A state playoffs and lost first round to the eventual state champions Plano West.

Student Council to Host Veteran’s Day Breakfast

Student council is honoring our service members by hosting a breakfast for them on Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11, 2015.

The event will start at 7 a.m. and conclude at 8:30 a.m. at the Timber Creek High School library.

Student Council sponsor Brian Day said over 100 student council members have already signed up to help, promising an incredible meal.

All active, former, or retired service members and veterans are encouraged to come and enjoy.

Marching Band Season Ends on a High Note

The 2015-16 Timber Creek Band performs "Who Has Seen the Wind?"

Instead of piling up candy during Halloween, the Timber Creek Marching Band went to compete in US Bands Midlothian last Saturday, ending their competition season by getting second place in finals and bagging the title of “Best in Percussion.” Read More.

Male Cheerleaders Flip Traditional Expectations

Many girls are often teased and told that cheerleading is “not a sport, just a hobby” and guys who cheer are often made fun of for joining a cheer team in the first place. However, in the last decade, cheerleading has seen a dramatic increase in the number of participants, especially males. This year, Timber Creek High School has three male cheerleaders on the Varsity team. Read More.

Bridges’ “Friday Night Lights” Dream Comes True

Upcoming Events

The Keller ISD fall semester finals schedule has been released. Finals will be run Jan. 13-15, 2016.

The first day of finals, Jan. 13, is a full day of school. On Jan. 14 and 15, high school students have early release at 12:30 p.m.

Finals will be taken in an hour and fifteen minute class periods. The finals for first and fifth period will be taken on Jan. 13.

Finals for 2A, 3A, and 4A will be taken on Jan. 14. Finals for 2B, 3B, 4B will be taken on Jan. 15.

National Technical Honor Society
National Technical Honor Society will have a meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 3:45 p.m. in room C217, Mr. Gonzalez’s room.

National Art Honor Society
Next NAHS Meeting is Tuesday, Nov. 12 after school at 4 p.m. in FA 109. The make up meeting is Friday, Nov. 13 before school 8 a.m. in FA 105.
