Timber Creek High School and other Keller ISD schools will be in a different UIL district for the 2016-18 seasons.
The move puts Timber Creek, Keller, Central, and Fossil Ridge high schools into district 3-6A following UIL realignment announced Feb. 1, 2016.
Keller ISD schools join Haltom City Haltom, Weatherford, and Abilene in the district.

The alignment is scheduled to be the same for at least two years, starting in the 2016-17 school year.
The change excites most football players. Varsity defensive end Jackson Worley on the new district, “I like the new district because we have a great chance to go to playoffs next year which is always our goal.”
The change in districts means Timber Creek will no longer play against Northwest, Denton schools (Guyer, Ryan, Denton High School) or rival Byron Nelson after the 2015-16 season during district games. TCHS Football beat Byron Nelson in a five overtime game during the 2015 football season.
“Its sad that we can’t beat them again next year for my senior year, but we got the final win, which is nice.” says varsity offensive lineman Brady Jackson.
“If there was any other team that I would like to play in district it would be Allen high school because it would give the team a taste of how a state championship winning program plays.” Worley said.
Basketball and other spring sports will play in the district 5-6A grouping until the end of this school year.
