Everything You Need to Know About 2016-17 Schedules

class schedules 2016

Lunch times? Schedule changes? Here’s what we know about the 2016-17 schedules.

How to get your schedule

Preliminary schedules were released to Home Access Center on August 15, 2016. Students and parents should be able to log in to the system to see their schedules — but those might not be the final schedules.

“Counselors will still be working on balancing and finalizing schedules through the first day of school,” counseling told Talon last week.

If students don’t have access to HAC, they will be able to get their schedules on the first day of school. Exact details on that process haven’t been announced.

How to find your lunch

Not included on the schedules is when your lunch will be.

All lunches are during 3rd period, in four 30-minute blocks. Teachers and students will eat lunch during the assigned block based on the schedule block. Note: This schedule might change…

If your class is not listed, please be patient. More details will be provided on the first day of school.

How to change/fix/adjust/tweak/edit your schedule

The schedules released on HAC are preliminary and may change. However, we understand you might feel a wave of panic and dread when something is (or is not) listed correctly on your schedule. Here’s how to fix it:

“If you notice an issue with your schedule, counselors will be available to visit with you on Wednesday, August 17 from 8:30-11:00 a.m. in the TCHS Library,” counseling announced last week.

If you can’t make it to the in-person time with counselors, you can still request changes. Fill out the following form and send it to your counselor.

Click here to download that form.

You are welcome to drop this form by with the counseling receptionist between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

But I want to drop an AP class…

“Please keep in mind that schedule change requests out of a Pre-AP or AP course will have to wait and go through the SAVE process after the third week of school,” counseling said.

Yeah, that means your schedule might not change until the SAVE process is complete.

Also, counseling said schedule changes will not be made for electives that the student requested during registration in the spring.
