The Great Choir Cookie Rescue

Whether due to their catchy song or delicious flavors, choir cookies have a big hype at Timber Creek. So when choir director Amy Fambrough got notice that the cookie dough wasn’t going to be delivered a few days before the first cookie Friday of the 2016 school year, something had to be done.

Choir cookie dough is typically delivered by Tuesday of that week, but when Wednesday came around, choir still had no cookies. Fambrough called the company, who said that Timber Creek choir was not on their list of deliveries. Even when Fambrough had the receipt, there was only one option: drive to pick them up on her own.

Fambrough left school that Thursday at the beginning of third period. She drove all the way to east Dallas in order to pick up the frozen cookie dough on her own. According to Fambrough, she didn’t exactly fit in at the factory; some workers thought she was lost.

Her mission was a success. Fambrough made it back to school in time to conduct her students in the National Anthem at the pep rally, and the scent of choir cookies drifted throughout the school on Friday.

Though she's a senior, this is Sarah's first year on Talon. Since she's in the Varsity Mixed choir, she hopes to write some stories in that area, but her main goal is to help the typical Timber Creek student feel less confused about this beautiful place called high school. All the same, she's still a fiction nerd, as proven by her involvement in TCHS Creative Writing stuff and her intent to most definitely publish her novel.
