Do you like your parents dropping you off lunch and bringing forgotten items to school for you?
When parents come in to drop stuff off and pick students up from school, NO MATTER WHAT they have to give their ID to Timber Creek’s receptionist.
“Whether it be a drivers license, which I prefer, a passport or some sort of government issued picture ID, has to be shown to me,” receptionist Wendy Warner commented.
Warner scans the ID through a system called the Raptor, which performs a background check through all major databases ensuring Timber Creek’s safety.
Former students are not allowed in the building unless they are dropping something off in the attendance office or going to the counseling department.
“Former students aren’t allowed in the building to visit teachers or to visit other students,” Warner added.
During lunches, ONLY parents and grandparents are allowed to eat with the students. This is a matter of safety and the least distraction for the students.
Items dropped off in the attendance office from parents must be picked up by students the same day. Items left beyond that may be thrown away or placed in lost and found.
Just a reminder, the attendance office does not deliver or notify students when an item has been dropped off – parents must notify their student to pick up items during lunch, passing periods, or after school.
