Calling all sophomore and junior girls, the Hollins University Creative Writing Program is holding a poetry contest just for you.
The contest awards prizes to students with the best poetry. The grand prize winner will receive $200 in cash, publication in Hollins’ award winning student library magazine and free tuition and housing for the university’s creative writing program. Second place winners will also be published in the student magazine and receive $25 in cash.
No more than two poems may be submitted by a student and all submissions must be sent in online by Oct. 31. Entrants must also have a faculty member from the school to sponsor their work and act as a point of contact.
