The National PTA Reflections Program invites students to submit works of art that fit the theme “What is your story?”

TCHS students will be allowed to submit to the High School 9-12 division in any of the six arts categories — dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.

Further guidelines for each category can be found at http://www.txpta.org/download/web_documents/programs/reflections_2017/16-17%20Official%20Reflections%20Rules.pdf.

The required student entry form can be found in FA 108 or online at http://www.txpta.org/download/web_documents/programs/reflections_2017/16-17%20Student%20Entry%20Form_TXPTA.pdf.

All entries must include a title and an artist statement of 10-100 words regarding their work and how it relates to the theme.

The student or at least one person from their primary household must be a current member of of the local PTA/PTSA. Submissions are due by Nov. 17 and can be turned into Marcy Gardener in FA108.

Though she's a senior, this is Sarah's first year on Talon. Since she's in the Varsity Mixed choir, she hopes to write some stories in that area, but her main goal is to help the typical Timber Creek student feel less confused about this beautiful place called high school. All the same, she's still a fiction nerd, as proven by her involvement in TCHS Creative Writing stuff and her intent to most definitely publish her novel.
