Falcon JV Golf Gives Impressive Perfomance

On Nov. 17, 2016, the Timber Creek JV Boys Golf teams competed in the Golden Gobbler golf tournament hosted by Arlington Sam Houston High School. The team traveled to the Southern Oaks Golf Course in Burleson, Texas for the event.

Although the course proved to be quite difficult, with windy conditions and a challenging layout, the Falcon golfers performed quite well. Together, Drew Casterline, Ross Shockley, Anthony Popson, and Adam Cogburn placed third just behind two teams from Fort Worth Pascal. Noah Parker also snagged a third place position in the boys medalist competition with a score of 86.

Very quickly, a historic feat from Adam Cogburn spread amongst the competition. He hit a 175 Hole-in-One on a par three seventeenth hole. This was the first Timber Creek Hole-in-One during a tournament in the school’s history.
