A Timber Creek basketball player and her family got a special early Veterans Day surprise on Nov. 9, when her favorite soldier returned home.
Junior Lauryn Freeman was reunited with her father, Air Force Master Sgt. Jeremy Freeman at a surprise moment following Timber Creek’s National Letter of Intent signing ceremony on Wednesday afternoon.
Captured on video was Lauryn and brother Stanley racing down the Timber Creek bleachers to embrace dad Jeremy, who has been deployed for 7 months. Now, the family will share Thanksgiving and many more holidays together — Mst. Sgt. Freeman plans to retire next year.
