Chloe Hege, a senior at Timber Creek, has decided to give back to the community by collecting donations to hand out to homeless of downtown Fort Worth and downtown Dallas on Christmas day. Along with her mom, student council and the senior class, they will be collecting donations from now until Dec. 16th. Next week the student council will have a box for donations on the stage in the cafeteria, but if you have donations this week you can drop them off at room N229.
“My mom and I will be alone on Christmas this year, so we wanted to do something to help others instead of staying at home.” says Hege. “Unlike the soup kitchens and canned food drives, we want to go to those homeless people that are wandering around the streets on Christmas Day with a package of things they need for the winter and hygiene purposes.”
They are asking for donations of things like deodorant, socks, underwear, christmas treats, toothpaste, blankets, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated, so please donate!
