A memorial will be held Thursday, Feb. 16 at Timber Creek High School for Zuzu Verk, a TCHS alumna. There will be a Candlelight Vigil and Lantern Release at 7:00 p.m. at the east side of the school. Further, green and purple balloons will show the way to go.
If looking for ways to honor Verk, Lori Letow and Glenn Verk, her mother and father, ask that donations be given to the new ZRV memorial scholarship at Sul Ross University (SRU) or to the Borderlands Research Institute (BRI). Letow and Glenn Verk describe it as a foundation that was very important to Zuzu Verk.
