The Timber Creek Bowling team displayed their hard training and dedication at regionals on Sunday, March 5, taking home a third place win, advancing them to state. Kobe Nelson and Kaitlyn Fleming, qualified for individual competition for regionals. In addition, Fleming qualified for individual competition for state.
“It was a good experience and it was my first year in singles,” said Fleming. “It got me prepared to what it is going to be like next year, and maybe get a higher ranking than what I did this year.”
Fleming, the first girl to make it to regionals and state for Timber Creek, won sixth place for singles.
“Being the only girl, can have it’s downsides,” said Fleming, “but also has its perks especially when I beat all the guys.”
The bowling team practices every Monday from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m, helping them achieve their goal, as they advance to state.
