The countdown to the end of the year is on — and it’s filled with a HUGE amount of stuff to do. We’ve put together everything you need to know for Spring 2017 into one handy article. Let’s go:
March 2017
With Spring Break complete, students will return on March 20 to a B Day schedule. Check the calendar for all the other A/B days.
STAAR Testing for English 1 End of Course exams is Tuesday, March 28, 2017.
STAAR Testing for English 2 End of Course exams is Thursday, March 30, 2017.
Both of these days will be run like regular school days for students that are not testing. More details on the testing is coming soon.
April 2017
Sliding into April, there are only a few school days before the end of the grading period on April 13. Notice how the calendar tells you April 14 and 17 are “Bad Weather Makeup Days.” We haven’t had bad weather (as of this posting), so that’s a four-day weekend right before the final six weeks of school. Neat!
May 2017
STAAR End of Course testing for Algebra I is scheduled for May 1, 2017. Biology and US History testing will follow on May 2, 2017. We don’t have details yet for these testing days, so stay tuned.
May is also the time for AP Testing. Tests will be scheduled between May 1 and May 12. Check out the dates below:
Seniors looking at that calendar are zeroing in on that May 27, 2017 date — Graduation Day for the Class of 2017. All other students will get an extra holiday on May 29 (Memorial Day) before coming back May 30, 31, June 1 and an early release on June 2, 2017.
