This year’s UIL One Act Play company will perform Ugly Lies the Bone for the last time on Friday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. in the fine arts auditorium.
“This show is remarkable and deserves to be seen by many,” director and theater teacher Amanda Brundrett said.
The company recently performed the one act at bi-district on March 21. At this performance, cast members received multiple awards including All Star Cast (Gabi Galloway and Caroline Norton), Best Technician (Haley Price), and Honorable Mention All Star Cast (Caleb Shaw). The cast took the alternate spot at the next competition.
“While I was incredibly proud of the work my company put into both competitions this past week, I definitely wasn’t expecting to receive any personal awards,” Norton commented. “It was a huge honor for me to accept them next to some of my amazing cast mates and other actors that I respect wholeheartedly. It was a huge surprise and I am incredibly grateful.”
The admission for the performance will be free, but donations will be accepted and given to sophomore and cast member, Aaron Lancaster, and his family to pay for medical expenses.
