The UIL One Act Play company has advanced to bi-district after their first performance of Ugly Lies the Bone on Tuesday, March 21. Students will compete again at Timber Creek on Thursday, March 23 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets for the performance are $5.
The play earned many significant awards, including All Star Cast (Gabi Galloway), Best Technician (Blake Cooper) and Honorable Mention All Star Cast (Caroline Norton).
“Ugly Lies the Bone” written by Lindsey Farrentino, is a play about a wounded female war veteran, Jess, who has been severely burned in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) accident on her third tour of Afghanistan. The story follows her homecoming and process of recovery back in her Floridian hometown with the help of a new virtual reality therapy and her family.
