KISD “Grease” Students Qualify in Dallas Summer Musical Awards

Keller ISD’s first district-wide musical, “Grease,” could grab two awards from Dallas Summer Musicals.

Britton Stiborra from Central High School, playing Roger in the blue cast version Keller ISD production of “Grease”, qualified in the Dallas Summer Musical for his role as a Featured Actor.

With winners announced May 18, both Stiborra as well as Keller ISD (nominated for choreography) as a whole may be awarded. 17 students in total will be given scholarships, and nominees were chosen by a panel of three judges who visited the show.

“I was really shocked by my nomination at first,” said Stiborra, “But I’m very excited to represent KISD at the Dallas Summer Musical awards.”

DSM will announce the winners the week of May 18.
