Whether you are on the outfield or throwing a fast ball, it takes all hands on deck to get where our Timber Creek Softball players are today. As the current rankings hold, the team has made it to first in districts and has held the first place for the DFW High School Fast-Pitch ranking spot two consecutive weeks.
With only five games until finals and only one loss for the season, senior left fielder Casey Akers discusses her hopes for the outcome of the season. “This year I think we are going to win it. I think we are going to win state this year,” said Akers.
As this will be Akers’ Final Season playing high school softball she touches on how she is taking the season. “We have a t-shirt, one of our practice shirts that says, ‘no regrets’ and as cheesy as that sounds that’s kinda how I’m taking the season.” said Akers, “Regretting nothing and taking as many chances as I can on the field, and it’s really paying off we are doing really well this year.”
