On April 8 Timber Creek students went to compete at the UIL regional academic meet at the University of Texas in Arlington. 16 students competed in a total of nine events such a extemporaneous speaking, persuasive speaking and informative speaking.
Senior, James Miller is set to attend the state competition for Informative speaking.
UIL Academic Co- Coordinator, Debbie Begley shares her hopes for future UIL seasons.
She wishes “that we can continue to recruit people,” said Begley, “this was the first year we had all categories full…we want to maintain that in the future.”
