Coming into Denton, Timber Creek was very confident from their previous victory in Flower Mound. Their confidence paid off as the Falcons blew out the Broncos 37-7.
The first quarter ended with Timber Creek ahead of Denton with a score 10-7. Denton struck first on a 60 yard rushing touchdown in the first minutes of the game. Timber Creek responded quickly with a rushing touchdown of their own, then took the lead after a Denton three and out gave the Falcons possession, which they took advantage of with a field goal.
The Falcons would then pull away from the Broncos in the next two quarters. Timber Creek’s defense was absolutely phenomenal. After the first quarter touchdown, the Falcons defense really locked down, and did not allow another point, along the way racking up three sacks and two interceptions.
The Falcon offense excelled for the fourth game in a row, once again led by senior WR Erik Ezukanma, who racked up 115 receiving yards with two touchdowns. RB Blake Irving ran for one touchdown, but also showed his arm, hitting Erik Ezukanma on a superb trick play. QB Dylan Mccrary ran for one touchdown and threw for another.
Timber Creek improves to 4-0 while Denton falls to 2-2. Timber Creek will play their most important game of the season next, as they take on an undefeated Fossil Ridge for their first district game of the year. The game begins at 7:30 p.m. this Friday at Keller ISD stadium.
