Timber Creek has struggled to defeat Keller ISD schools this season, continuing their losing streak versus their fellow KISD district teams with a loss to Keller 14-21 in overtime.

The first three quarters of the game were controlled by Timber Creek. The Falcons had the lead 14-7 going into the half, the defense looked strong, but the offense was less than spectacular.

During the fourth quarter Keller tied the game at 14-14. In the waning moments of the fourth quarter, the Falcons were able to get down to the 8 yard line. With 15 seconds to go, the Timber Creek Special Teams came out to try and attempt the potential game winning field goal. The Keller crowd roared as Kicker, Ethan Mooney, pulled the kick to the left, off the upright, sending the game to overtime.

At the end of regulation, the score was tied 14-14. Keller received the ball first starting on the 25 yard line for their first OT attempt. The Falcon defense looked stale, as Keller’s running back, Devon Collins sliced through the lines. On a close play at the goal line, Keller was able to score on a run, which turned out to be the winning touchdown.

Timber Creek’s OT drive started well, the Falcons were able to get two first downs before the Keller defense ultimately stopped them on three straight downs. On fourth down all eyes were on Quarterback, Adrian Ranete. The ball was snapped, Adrian Ranete dropped back, and looked for a receiver, he threw to the middle of the end zone, looking for Wide Receiver Nik Nelson, the ball was tipped by the Keller strong safety, ultimately falling to the ground, giving Timber Creek their second district loss.

Timber Creek play an away game versus Central next, hoping to avoid getting swept by Keller ISD teams. The game starts at 7:00 PM at Keller ISD stadium on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017.
