This year, Timber Creek and Fossil Ridge High School teamed up to raise funds for the St. Jude’s Research Hospital at the much anticipated “gold out” game.
The teams raised a combined $4416.60 for the hospital. These funds came from both regular donations, and t-shirt sales sold to both schools by the Timber Creek and Fossil Ridge cheerleaders respectively.
Founded by the late American entertainer Danny Thomas, St. Jude’s mission is to “advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment,” as according to the foundation.
Families who receive treatment never have to pay for anything, whether it be medical treatment bills or food, completely due to public contributions, including the yearly donation from Timber Creek and Fossil Ridge.
