Timber Creek starts back up again with the #pix4prompix. Beginning in the 2016-17 school year senior class sponsor, Emily Boehringer began an initiative give students the ability to receive a free prom ticket by attending spirit nights.
“It’s a motivation to get our senior students to go to spirit nights and if they hashtag a picture of them and anyone they took like family or friends they get additional entries into a drawing for free prom tickets,” said Boehringer.
This has encouraged many kids and their families to go to spirit nights and for the school to make money to give more prom tickets away. One of the recipients of the free prom ticket last year was former Talon reporter Destiny Holdman.
The next spirit night will be Thursday Oct. 26 concluding the football game at Buffalo Wild Wings.
