Timber Creek Speech and Debate teams won the second place ahead of 26 other schools in sweepstake at the Naaman Forest Texas Forensic Association Invitational, Oct. 21. This is the first time the Team has won a trophy at a TFA tournament.
The team’s newfound success is in part thanks to the new assistant coach Melissa West. West also teaches World History AP.
“[West] has been an amazing addition to our team,” said Aisha Manjai. “She has been so insightful, she has so much to offer us.”
The team has a congress debate team and for the first time a Duet Acting pair team, meaning the team now competes in 16 out of the 20 events.
