The Impact, a student-run organization is hosting a Mental Health Awareness picnic today, Nov. 10. at 400 Bear Creek Park Road from 4:30 to 6 P.M.
The goal is to bring people together, and vent about issues that are stressing them out.
There will be many activities such as board games, music, and painting.
“You don’t even have to have a mental illness to come,” said Impact leader, Allison Ulery. “There is such a negative stigma around mental illness, but it is a part of life, and it should be talked about rather than avoided.”
Ulery also added that rides can be provided to the picnic.
If interested, contact Ulery, or another Impact Member, Chloe Wreyford at (817)-682-3560
