On Wednesday, Jan. 24, DECA students went to the annual Keller Chamber of Commerce Excellence awards. The students got recognized by the chamber as an organization that has future business men and women learning how to be future leaders.
According to DECA club sponsor, Peggy Strong the “DECA goal or mission is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management on a high school level.”
The program not only helps the student’s careers, it also trains them to think quickly, and applies the information they learn in school to real life situations.
