The Distributive Education Clubs of America, better known as DECA, is now entering its much anticipated competition season.
There will be a mandatory meeting Friday, Jan. 5, for members to try on DECA jackets right after school in room M105. There will also be a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 9., this meeting is to give instructions for competition.
All DECA members who are competing should be finished with their paper or studying for their test. The district CDC test has changed and will be Thursday, Jan. 11. Everyone that has a test associated with their competition will test at the same time. The test will take place in room M104, students need to make it to the room by 4:00 p.m. so they can start promptly.
“Everyone that is writing a paper needs to see me asap so we can assemble your paper in the proper notebooks and all papers need to be checked by your English teacher if possible,” said advisor Peggy Strong- Johnson via email.
Since there is no school on Monday, Jan. 15, Students can contact Strong personally. The club will meet Tuesday, Jan. 16, in the front of the school students need to be dressed for competition with ID in hand.
DECA is an organization students compete in individual or group challenges, to create business plans and further your knowledge in the world of business.
