On Thursday, Jan. 11 the swim team will compete in the final dual meet for the 2017-2018 swim season to recognize those graduating this year. The meet will be held at the KISD Natatorium and is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
“This meet is going to be so fun. Senior Meets are a lot different than regular meets, especially at Timber Creek. The seniors pull crazy stunts and make their races as silly as possible, and it’s so fun to cheer them on one last time! It will have a sad tone to it though, when we recognize each senior and the time they’ve spent on our team, but regardless it’s the best goodbye we could give them,” said junior, Karson Goppffarth.
During this meet, the seniors of the team are recognized for all they have accomplished in their time swimming at Timber Creek.
“As a junior the seniors have been with me the longest. They are fun, upbeat, and always make practice nice.” said Gopffarth. “The teams gotten to see them grow and know that they’re all gonna do amazing things when they sadly leave our family.”
