A new Unity One ATM is now open in the Timber Creek High School cafeteria. The ATM operates during school hours and will disburse in $5 and $20 denominations. The machine will require a surcharge of about $1.50 to $2.50 for those not affiliated with Unity One Bank.
The long standing history between Unity One and Keller ISD is what made this installment possible.
Recently in a press release, Director of Community & Public Relations for Unity One, Alyssa Guillory said, “After sponsoring a successful student-run branch for nearly ten years at Fossil Ridge High School, Unity One was invited to open a branch at the new Keller Center for Advanced Learning in the spring of 2017. In the fall of 2017, Unity One received a request to sponsor an ATM at Timber Creek High School.”
Students, faculty and staff who open an account with Unity One will be able to utilize the ATM free of charge. To open an account, interested students will need to complete an application and submit it along with a copy of their driver’s license (or student ID with picture if they do not possess a driver’s license), social security card and an initial $5 investment. Unity One representatives will be on campus soon to provide applications and answer questions.
“Unity One is thrilled for the opportunity to partner with Timber Creek High School to provide this ATM for their use,” said president of Unity One Credit Union, Gary Williams, “Our goal is to give students a solid foundation of money management skills. Financial literacy is more important than ever, and we want to help students achieve the financially secure future of their dreams.”
Staff who are interested in Unity One providing financial presentations to their students are invited to reach out to Alyssa Guillory, director of community and public relations, at 817-306-3443 or aguillory@unityone.org
