R.O.C.K. Rise Up Summit: Inspiring Students to Combat Bullying

This summer on June 11-12, 2018 Keller ISD will host the R.O.C.K. Rise Up Summit. The summit will be held at KCAL, to inspire schools, students and the community to address bullying issues.

Rise Up will feature several workshops including Anti-Bullying, David’s Law, Cyber-safety and Mental Health Issues. Each of these workshops will target a specific aspect to improve the overall mental health and awareness of the community.

Along with a variety of workshops, the summit will feature speaker Karen Williams who will give a presentation on “The Neuroscience of Learning, Development and Behavioral Health.” Williams will enlighten those attending with the technicalities of mental health and what steps they can to improve it.

Registration for the event opens in April 2018 and is available to educators, students, parents and the KISD community. All are encouraged to attend in order to strengthen the anti-bullying foundation of KISD and propel the R.O.C.K program forward.
