Science-Whitney Knowles
Ms. Knowles classes are always doing something fun and interesting, whether it is a project on cancer, a discussion on genetic modification, or even isolating their own DNA. She is always positive about her students and is always open to trying new ideas to make her classes better.
English- Beth Brentlinger
Beth Brentlinger is our department chair for English, and she is a great friend to all. She is the kind of person who will give you advice (job related or personal) and is always there to listen. She is the most organized person we know (you should see her color coordinated binder collection!) She is also a very helpful co-worker. She always goes out of her way to help others in need, offering to print off assignments, cover classes when needed, and stops whatever she is doing to make someone else the priority. We love you Beth, our fearless leader! Thanks for all you do!
SpEd- Damon Cramer
Damon Cramer supports a variety of students in their classes. Students consistently seek him out for academic and social support. He is always willing to help with a math problem, a World Geography question, or a kind word. We are lucky to have him as a teacher in our department this year.
Social Studies- Kristin Vosburgh
Our nominee for Teacher of the Month is Kristin Vosburgh. Kristin has a wonderful relationship with her students and is continuously making her classroom a dynamic learning environment. She is a seasoned teacher who serves as a role model to all those around her. She is quick to offer a hand to her colleagues, and puts the needs of others above herself. Kristin’s abilities continue to shine, and have made her an indispensable member of our team.
World Languages- Senora Teresa Williams
Señora Teresa Williams does a great job of recruiting for and running both the TCHS Spanish Club and TCHS Chapter of the National Spanish Honor Society. Our students benefit here and in college from being involved in the Spanish extracurricular activities that Sra. Williams keeps running like a well-oiled machine. Students are given the opportunities for leadership and learning about other cultures. For her great efforts inside and outside of the classroom, we nominate Sra. Williams for Teacher of the Month this February.
Fine Arts- Chad Mason
Chad Mason teaches every percussion student from grade 6-12. He has transformed our percussion students into a world-class performing group. Whether it is teaching mallet or drumming technique, building props, designing a show, or performing alongside students at a football game – this teacher does it all!
