DRESS UP DAYS

Timber Creek Student Council has a week of fun decade dress up days planned for Homecoming Week.

On Monday, October 15, don your poodle skirts, leather jackets, and other fashion from the 1950s.

“Groovy Tuesday” is October 16, with tie dye and hippie inspired fashions in the plan.

Wednesday, October 17, bust a move and get into the 80s and 90s fashions — lots of neon, please.

On Homecoming, October 18, wear your best Falcon gear, Homecoming shirts, Mums and Garders.

Finally, on Friday, October 19, we want to see the fashion of the future. Maybe that means a spacesuit, or maybe something even cooler.

MONDAY – OCT. 15, 2018 – HOMECOMING PARADE AND CARNIVAL

UPDATE: 1:10 p.m. The Timber Creek High School Homecoming Parade has been cancelled due to current and expected inclement weather. The parade will not be rescheduled. Please join us for the Falcon Family Feeder Pattern Homecoming Carnival at 6 p.m. in the Timber Creek Cafeteria.

Due to inclement weather, the Carnival has been moved indoors.

FRIDAY – OCT. 19, 2018

SATURDAY – OCT. 20, 2018 – HOMECOMING DANCE

The homecoming dance will take place Saturday, Oct. 20 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Timber Creek High School (12350 Timberland Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76244).

Enjoy a DJ, photo booth, donut bar and a lot of dancing at the Homecoming Dance. Tickets are $20 per person (+$1 credit card fee per ticket). Cash, credit cards, debit cards, and checks made out to TC Cheer Booster are accepted during lunches Oct. 10-12 and then again Oct. 15-19 or until tickets sell out.

UPDATE: If you were unable to purchase a ticket to the Homecoming Dance and signed up on the waiting list through the Talon, then you will now be able to purchase a ticket. Tickets will only be available for purchase for $20 from 7:30am to 4:30pm on Wednesday and from 7:30am to 4:30pm on Thursday in the School Store by the Cafeteria. These tickets will only be sold to those students that signed up on the waiting list. If you did not sign up on this list, then you will need to stop by and see Ms. Somerhalder before school, during your lunch, or after school. Please be mindful of instructional time in your classes, as you will not be excused from class to buy tickets without teacher permission. Tickets will not be sold at the door; you must buy them on Wednesday or Thursday if you plan to attend the Homecoming Dance.

Non-Timber Creek students will need to turn in a completed and signed guest form to purchase a ticket. Click here to download the form, or pick one up at the ticket sales table in the cafeteria. Maximum age for any attendee is 20 years old.

All dance attendees will need a printed hard copy of their homecoming dance ticket and a current photo ID (school ID or drivers’ license). There is no re-entry to the dance after you leave — once you come in, you’re in.

Fort Worth Police Department and KISD Security will be in attendance for the event.

Dress code reminders — Homecoming is semi-formal, with ladies able to wear strapless dresses (though organizers are asking for students to not wear “too fitting or revealing” dresses). Gentlemen are not required to wear jackets.

More information will be added to this article as we get closer to Homecoming Week.
