By Friday, Dec. 14, students will need to have completed all owed seat time from the first semester. To ensure one doesn’t have seat time to make up, students may now check their record of absences online. Incomplete seat time hours at that time will result in a loss of credit and may require summer school, retaking the course, and/or may affect a student’s grade level classification.
Students now have the ability to access and view their seat time owed in real-time through Home Access Center (HAC). Students are only able to do so while connected to Keller ISD wifi, so students will only be able to view this information on campus. Only students will be able to check their seat time.
Here’s a step by step guide on how to access one’s seat time information:
Students will login to their HAC account
Select the tab titled “School Links”
Click on the link called “Check Time Owed”
From there, students can view the amount of times they’ve been absent, and see if they need to make up seat time in any of their classes.
Remember, students cannot have more than four absences in any of their 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 4A and 4B classes, and cannot have more than nine absences in first and fifth periods. If one exceeds this, they will owe seat time. Click here for information on how to make up seat time.
“We hope the addition of this link will help to keep our students informed of where they stand with attendance,” said Assistant Principal Rebecca Rose.
