An impressive 1,485 Timber Creek High School Falcons made the A and AB honor rolls for the difficult fourth six weeks of the 2018-2019 school year.
There are less than 50 yearbooks left to sell. Once those few remaining books have sold, students will no longer be able to receive a yearbook for the 2018-19 school year.
Misty Copeland is a ballet dancer at the American Ballet theatre in New york City, who recently became the company’s first African-American woman to be promoted to principal dancer in its 75 year history. She also became the American Ballet Theatre’s first African-American soloist in two decades, and has inspired many young girls and boys in her important work.
National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is once again holding their iconic paint night, however, on Wednesday, Feb. 27 it will be a kids edition. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in room FA108 for a cheaper price of $10, children from ages 7 to 12 are welcome to come showcase their artistic talents.

Although she faced heavy discrimination her entire life, Bessie Coleman fought to pursue her flying career. She became the first woman of African American descent to achieve a pilot’s license, and she earned an international pilot’s license in 1921. Mostly known for her air shows, Coleman also served as inspiration for many people of color who aspired to be pilots.
Bringing up a brand new team of athletes who have little previous varsity experience, the Timber Creek Boys Basketball Team finished off their 2018-2019 year in playoffs against the Coppell High School.
The junior class will host a spirit night at Chick-Fil-A in Alliance Town Center on Friday, Feb. 28 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
