SENIORS: Apply for Local Scholarships

Although the cost of a college education can seem daunting, there are many local scholarship opportunities available to aid in the process. Local scholarships allow high school seniors to apply in a smaller pool of applicants, increasing their chances of earning college funds. These scholarships are specifically for seniors in Keller ISD or the surrounding areas.

KELLER ISD EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Seniors can now apply for the Keller ISD Education Foundation scholarship. They will be awarding five $2,000 scholarships this spring.

KELLER ROTARY CLUB

The Keller ISD Education Foundation is awarding five $1,000 scholarships on behalf of The Rotary Club of Keller. Special priority will be given to members of the Interact club. Download the application here.

Applications are due March 31.

 

SERVICE FIRST HUMANITARIAN SCHOLARSHIP

Service First Automotive Centers will give two $1,000 scholarships to Timber Creek seniors. Click here to access the online application.

KELLER WOMEN’S CLUB

The Greater Keller Women’s Club Foundation has given over $1 million in scholarships in its history. This year’s applications should be turned into the counseling office. Download the application here.

Applications are due April 5.

 

GREATER KELLER CHAMBER RISING STAR SCHOLARSHIP

The Greater Keller Chamber of Commerce will award scholarships to seniors in the North Tarrant County area, which includes Timber Creek. Students should turn in applications to the counseling office. Click here to download the application.

Applications are due April 12.

 

PTSA SCHOLARSHIP

Parent Teacher Student Association aims to award a minimum of five $500 scholarships to qualifying Timber Creek seniors.

Applicants must be an active member of PTSA by March 29 in order to qualify. The student also must have completed at least 35 hours of community service throughout high school. These hours can come from from volunteering at school and/or other outside organizations. Other requirements, such as letters of recommendations, are disclosed on the application, which can be picked up in the counseling office.

Applications are due April 18.

 

NATHAN HERZOG SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

The Nathan Herzog Scholarship Foundation will award this scholarship to Keller ISD seniors. Students should turn in applications to the counseling office. Click here to download the application.

Applications are due May 1.

 

TCHS COCA-COLA FUND SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is available to Timber Creek seniors only. It does not require an essay. Students should turn in applications to the counseling office. Click here to download the application.
