Just because the school year is ending doesn’t mean things will stop running for Timber Creek Student Media.
Starting on May 31, 2019 both TCFM, the student-powered internet radio station, and TCTV, our 24/7 streaming television station will shift into Summer programming schedules.
After 2 1/2 years on radio, TCFM switched services in May to Live 365. The station will continue programming 24/7 ad-free, Summer playlists all the way until mid-August, when the 2019-2020 school year begins.
“Our DJs and music directors are making sure we have all your favorite summer vibes songs ready for an ad-free, high quality listening experience throughout the break,” Student Media Adviser Greg Janda said. “We want to keep the party going all summer long.”

Meanwhile, over on TCTV, expect to see 24/7 content on YouTube, Twitch, Periscope and a few other locations — like your cable TV.
“We’re in the final stages of hooking things up so you can watch student-created TCTV content on cable, even during the summer break,” Janda said.
Included in the programming will be replays of Timber Creek Sports Network broadcasts of Football, Volleyball, Basketball, and Wrestling, the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament, the Kelley Awards Red Carpet and Kelley Awards show, best of TCTV content from throughout the year, plus some additional exclusive content, unique tests and other things you’ll just have to see to believe.
“Even though our students won’t be in school working on TCTV each day, we’ll be testing technologies and elements that you’ll see as soon as the next year resumes. It’s pretty exciting, but we can’t detail everything yet!” Janda said.

Here on Talon, there will be slight changes to the site design to focus on the information most students want to know over the summer.
“We’re doing some small adjustments to push things like Fish Camp, credit recovery and other stories up higher on the page so it’s easier to find everything.” Janda said.
The Talon App and Twitter account will also be updating throughout the summer, but not with any set schedule.
“We need a break, too!” Janda laughed. “But when there’s important info to know, we’re glad to have methods to get those details to the community.”
