Prepare for pancakes! On Friday, Sept. 20, the wrestling program will host their third annual pancake breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., in the Timber Creek south parking lot. The price for the breakfast is $5. All the proceeds collected will fund equipment necessary for the program’s success.
“My favorite part [about the breakfast] would be getting to talk with my friends and overall just getting to advertise to wrestling team,” said wrestler Simon Alfaro. “It’s the most beneficial and important fundraiser we have, all proceeds go to travel, uniforms and fees for the entire season.”
Timber Creek’s wrestling team is arguably one of the most successful in the district, with the girl’s team overcoming adversity and winning the title of first at the state championship last year. The pancake breakfast is one of the fundraisers that allows them to get the funds necessary to be successful, while making and distributing delicious food.
