Last Friday, Oct. 4, Timber Creek lost an unfortunate game to Keller. Falling to a 1-4 record, the Falcons are in a hole when it comes to their playoff chances.
The game–which ended 34-7–was dominated by Keller, but was helped along by mistakes made by Falcons.
Two safeties on bad snaps in the first quarter set the tone for the rest of the game.
Second string quarterback, Colt Gaylor struggled throughout the game, not able to find his footing.
The one positive for the Falcons was a long rushing touchdown by Kaden Bess, which turned out to be the only points of the game for Creek.
Other notes for the game include the varsity debut of JV starter Jacob Porter, a sophomore who is typically the third string for the Falcons.
Jason Akers was severely missed last night, proving how integral he is to the team’s success.
Although the Falcons met defeat against Keller, they strive to make a comeback at the ‘Pink Out’ game on Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Keller ISD Stadium against Denton Guyer. While Guyer is the second best team in the district, the Falcons hope to band together and come out victorious. So wear pink and support the Falcon football players at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
