A Farewell to Seniors: Falcon Football Falls to Carroll 49-8 on Senior Night

Reality began to set in as Carroll quarterback Davis Clapp kneeled for the final time; the season and for Falcon Football seniors was over. Friends, family, and coaches met each other on the sidelines. There were seemingly no dry eyes in the stadium. The journey was over.

The game was facilitated by the likes of Southlake Carroll’s star duo of quarterback Quinn Ewers and running-back Owen Allen, putting the game out of reach by the third quarter. Coach Kevin Golden began making substitutions that gave seniors a final chance to shine; an opportunity that the players appreciated greatly.

Creek only scored one touchdown in the game, which against Carroll, is respectable. Overshadowed by the finality of the season, the result of the match meant little to the players.

The Falcons finished their season at 3-7, while Southlake Carroll High School is still yet to fall at 10-0.

Good job to the Falcon Football seniors for fighting hard through each game of their high school careers.
