KISD Hosts Community Forums About the Dangers of Vaping

Starting Tuesday, Feb. 25, Keller ISD will host a series of community forums featuring Dr. Karen Schultz from Cook Children’s Medical Center to discuss the “risks, warning signs, [and] legal consequences” of vaping.

The four sessions that community members may attend are as follows:

Tuesday, Feb. 25 at Fossil Hill Middle School from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tuesday, March 17 at Keller Middle School from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tuesday, March 24 at Hillwood Middle School from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Tuesday, March 31 at Timberview Middle School from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In the summer of 2019, Dr. Schultz was one of the doctors who helped care for Tryson Zohfeld, a then 17 year old who nearly died from vaping.

β€œIt is odorless. It doesn’t smell. You can’t hear it. They could be doing it up in their room and you would have no idea,” Dr. Karen Schultz said to WJZY (Fox46).
