TCU Hosts U.S. Service Academies Forum

Timber Creek students and their parents are invited to attend the 2020 North Texas U.S Service Academies Forum which will be held on Saturday, April 4 at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth.

Senator John Cornyn and Senator Ted Cruz and other congressional colleagues will provide interested middle and high school students an excellent opportunity to learn more about our nation’s service academies, requirements for admission and the selection process.

School principals, counselors, coaches and teachers are encouraged to attend as well.

Representatives from congressional offices and all five service academies such as the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and U.S. Air Force Academy, as well as current academy cadets and midshipmen, and representatives from the Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board (DODMERB) and Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) will be invited to be on hand to answer questions and distribute information.

Students attending this event can meet one on one with these representatives to discuss questions and get their concerns answered. Most importantly, this event is of primary importance to current juniors who may now begin the application process to receive a congressional nomination to one of the service academies.
