On The House; Sodexo Offers Free Lunch for All Students

On November 4th, the U.S.D.A. (United States Department of Agriculture) issued a nationwide waiver allowing Keller ISD and Sodexo, the District’s food services provider, the ability to serve free breakfasts and lunches to all students. Any student in KISD is eligible for free tray lunches, regardless if they qualify for free or reduced lunch. Tray lunches will consist of protein, grain, fruit, and vegetable options. A la carte items will still be available for purchase; however, they are not included as apart of the free meal.

Free meals will be available to Remote learners as well, via Sodexo’s curbside service at Keller ISD’s four high schools:

Curbside meal service will continue to be provided from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, or families can pick up five days of meals from 5-6 p.m. each Wednesday evening. Community members under the age of 18 can also take advantage of this curbside service. Weekly pick-up must be pre-ordered each week, and families who utilize the weekly pick-up will not be able to pick up meals during the daily 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. meal service.
