Student Media Goes to Seattle Convention

The Creek Yearbook and the Talon reporters joined together to go to Seattle Journalism Education Association/ National Scholastic Press Association, JEA/NSPA, convention from April 5 to 9.

The event was to educate and further the knowledge of the students that went in multimedia such as photography, journalism, design and how to continue to doing what you love throughout college.

The Creek and the Talon were both entered in Best of Show awards but did not place in the top ten for either.

β€œIt was a really great experience to go and learn things from people all over the country even if we didn’t win,” Destiny Holdman, Talon reporter, commented.

The Creek yearbook and Talon reporters will be going to JEA/NSPA again in fall 2017 when the convention will be held in Dallas.
