Some fast Falcons helped some of the Timber Creek cross country teams win at the district meet.
On Oct. 16, 2015 your Timber Creek Falcons participated in the District 5A/6A Championship race. All the teams performed heroically with 2 first place finishes and 2 second place finishes.
The varsity boys took first place, defeating Central by 15 points to become back-to-back District champs. Their top runner was Kristian Ramirez with a time of 16:14.
Junior varsity boys also held on to their District Championship title with a near perfect score during the meet.
On the girls’ side, Varsity girls came in second by a slim margin of 33 points, barely losing to district rival Keller. Their top runner was freshman Erika Barrett who ran a personal best of 19:31.
Junior varsity girls also came in runner up at district.
“I can’t say enough about the Cross Country kids,” Coach Dan Strong said on Twitter.
Strong presented the boys’ district championship trophies at the Friday, Oct. 16 pep rally to applause and cheers from the student body.
