Timber Creek Speech and Debate teams won the second place ahead of 26 other schools in sweepstake at the Naaman Forest Texas Forensic Association Invitational, Oct. 21. This is the first time the Team has won a trophy at a TFA tournament.

Battle of the Books is a competition in which 14 schools in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, read 10 books that are assigned to be read by the teams.
Financial Aid 101 will be Oct. 12 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Art Center to discuss financial aid, grants and scholarships with graduating seniors.

Tryouts for the varsity and junior varsity 2017-18 bowling team will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays all October long. The team competes at Brunswick Zone in Watauga.

Prior to school starting on Aug. 15, the Timber Creek media team have been working non-stop to inform the new and returning students during the chaos that is back to school season.
During the week of Aug. 21, many freshmen students were asked to live with a rock taped to their hands for an entire day during a boulder take on their assigned reading.
