In recent years, the Remind company has been a provider to students and teachers of a free way for teachers to send students messages through text by using a code. However, Remind has now lost the aid of one of their carrier partnerships, Verizon Wireless. Many students and teachers have expressed their dismay at the change in policy, taking to social media platforms with the hashtag #ReverseTheFee.
In the time that Head Girls Soccer Coach, Michael King, has created the Rex King Memorial Soccer Tournament, a tournament in honor of the late Rex King, he has been able to acquire $72,020 in donations for the Community Hospice of Texas.
