Coming into a season facing off in a tougher district than the previous year, the Timber Creek Volleyball Team looks at the 2018-2019 challenges with determination rather than defeat, overcoming each obstacle that they face.
Opening up their season on Thursday, Aug. 30, against Rockwall-Heath High School, Timber Creek Varsity Football will kick-off the 2018-2019 school year at 7 p.m. at the Keller ISD football stadium.
Playing libero for the Timber Creek volleyball team for the past three years and leading her class currently as valedictorian, senior Anna Thomas looks at the new school year’s challenges with determination rather than defeat, overcoming each obstacle that both she as well as the team face.
Starting their season off earlier than ever, for the second year in a row the Timber Creek football team looks to further their progress after seeing the program’s positive results within the previous three seasons.
Becoming Bi-District Champions after Riley Sands gave the team a win 6-5 after a walkoff, and the team continuing their victory as they battled El Paso Coronado with a 3-0 victory in the third round, the Timber Creek Baseball team continues their victory in playoffs against Odessa High School.
The fifth year that the team has advanced into playoffs, the Timber Creek Varsity Softball team swung out of the competition hitting hard and with goals reached.
With their season coming to a close, the Timber Creek Track and Field Team ran the fields at their Area Championships on Friday, April 4.
Juniors Kiryll Pokudin and Cayden Akins placed second in boys’ doubles and freshman Skylar Rust placed second in girls’ doubles at the district tournament, advancing them to regionals.
Coming out of their district tournament with both boys and girls varsity teams taking third place, the golf team has had a seemingly successful season, with key senior Lauren Wallace bound for the regional tournament as a single player.
With five senior student-athletes from basketball, track, swimming and golf, the Timber Creek High School Spring Signing took place on Wednesday, April 11, at 3 p.m. during fifth period.
