Eleven art students from Timber Creek received awards at the recent Scholastic Art contest, with one student advancing to the national level of competition.
National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is once again holding their iconic paint night, however, on Wednesday, Feb. 27 it will be a kids edition. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in room FA108 for a cheaper price of $10, children from ages 7 to 12 are welcome to come showcase their artistic talents.
Twenty-nine art students qualified for state at the Region 11 VASE competition on Saturday, Feb. 9. A total of 35 art pieces from Timber Creek will join 72 from Keller ISD in San Marcos this coming April.
Students in need of community service have the opportunity to earn their volunteer hours at the Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) on Saturday, Feb. 9.
The goal of the Art & Literature Magazine is to share Timber Creek’s various identities through creative art and writing. We hope to shine a light on any of those who may be hiding in the shadows or wearing a mask to cover up who they truly are.
The Timber Creek Winter Art Gallery will take place on Nov. 6 from 5 to 7 p.m, and all of the art students have created will be displayed in the Fine Arts Hallway.
Beginning on Nov. 5 to Nov. 16, Timber Creek will be partnering with the Fort Worth Fire Station 38 to host a contest. For the competition, students will design a logo for the Fire Station 38, and the chosen symbol will be displayed on fire engines and trucks.
Submissions for the Fall 2018 Art and Literature Magazine will be open from Oct. 16 – Nov. 16 and are open to all Timber Creek students. We hope to include a variety of literary and artistic pieces, anything from short stories, poems, song lyrics, drawings, paintings, sculptures, digital art, photography and so much more.
National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is holding their second Paint Night of the school year on Wednesday, Oct. 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in room FA108. The cost to participate is $20 per person.
