On Sept. 30, the band competed in Bands Of America (BOA) Southlake, advancing to finals for the first time in school history.

Many viewers of the marching show only see the final product on the field, but the amount of tasks that happen behind the scenes is tremendous. From an online music pass-off program, an app used for learning drill, an intricate sound system and a whole staff of people hired for a number of different reasons, all of the behind-the-scenes action that goes into an eight-minute performance is quite time consuming.
Every year since 2013, the bands from all four Keller ISD high schools and six feeder middle schools come together one night in the fall to showcase the talents of every band student in the Keller school district in an event known as the Marching Expo. This marks the fifth year that the Keller bands have put on this event.
The University of Michigan marching band is scheduled to rehearse on the Timber Creek football field on Friday, Sept. 1 from 7:00-10:00 p.m.
Timber Creek’s Andrew Sylvester took the skills learned at a key summer internship to help the band as a drum major.
Beginning July 26, all members of the TC band began daily rehearsals to prepare for the upcoming marching band season.
On Monday, May 8, Kayla Warren, a fourth year band director at Timber Creek, conducted her last concert ever on the Timber Creek stage.
